Conect iPhone to standard VRS head unit?

Featured Replies

Hey all!

I have just got my Fabia Vrs and was wondering whats the best way to connect my iPhone 4 to the standard head unit? Im not fussed about the whole "hands free" stuff, i just wanna play my MP3's! :)

Currently I have a very cheap radio transmitter to do the job, this seems very tempremental and keeps loosing signal. Is it worth me investing in a better one or are they all that rubbish? The other option is that I buy a new head unit. However I am a novice in the ICE market, so I have no idea what to buy. Is it a good idea to get a DAB one? Or is it better to buy a "nomal" FM unit? How much is a reasonable price to pay, they seem to vary so much?

On a side note is there anyway to install head unit controlls onto the steering wheel? I see that some head units come with remotes, is that what they are for?

Thanks for any advice.
