slow down! lol im not to clued up on computers so u will have to take ya time with me. the printer is wireless and its the instalation disc i got with it that wont install.

Well if it's wireless can you ping the printers IP address?

What OS are you running as without that I can't help you.

The generic advice would be to try plugging the device in over USB, installing the driver, then adding a new printer on the correct TCP port.

For windows XP, I think wireless printers are a bit of a pain.

Chrome won't make any difference to this, but what I would try first is to plug the printer in over a USB cable and then provide the driver when it asks for it.

See if this works for a print.

if it does then:

Have you set the printer up on your network, so that it has an IP address in your subnet.

If your laptop is 192.168.0.[something] is your printer 192.168.0.[something not the the same as the laptop]?

If not you need to set the printer up to join your network.

If it is, then you can install the printer by creating a new TCP/IP port to the printer under windows XP.

Google will give plenty of instructions for this :)

I've never had problems with wireless printers on XP mate, so don't go worring yourself. If you haven't got it fixed yet, give me a shout on pm. I'll see if I can help

Only a pain in as so far as they don't seem to add themselves out of the box.
