As the title says my thermometer has stopped working (picks its time of the year :/) and on the display it's just coming up as the dashes.

I have recently fit a front and rear bumper and was wondering if I had damaged anything to stop it working as it stopped when I put them on. I did see a black pipe hanging down and I looked in it and it was bone dry with cob webs in it so I just assumed it was drainage of something, could the be the problem?

Help would be great cheers :D
