The EM light on my Octy keeps coming on then after a couple days goes out again then maybe a couple days later on it comes again :confused: :confused:

I was under the impression that when the ECU logged a fault that triggered the Dash light, that the light would stay on until the fault was cleared by plugging it in ???

Could there be a fault with the ECU or something ?

Some 'faults' are reset by starting the engine a couple of times. I for instance have a temp sensor which occasionally reads an invalid value and sets the light on. Then after a few weeks of driving the light will go off again and remain off for a good couple of weeks until the cycle repeats itself.

So not likely to be anything serious then ?

Probably something minor - get it to a dealer to do a diagnostic check. I've never been charged for them doing this, and if you're under warranty then you definitely shouldn't be charged for it.
