Hi, I’ve got a 1.9tdi ’02 Fabia:

When driving with lights on I’ve noticed my headlights dimming/flickering, often accompanied by an electrical relay clicking type sound. This seems to happen more often when turning the steering wheel, when this happens I can also hear the whining of what I presume is the power steering motor/pump. Also this morning towards the end of my journey (after about 12 miles) the power steering warning light came on and steering went heavy. I don’t think it’s the PAS sensor as I had this replaced less than a year ago. Any ideas?

Hi,

I would check alternator output first, should be better than 14 volts,also check battery and connections
