Remote Boot pop

Should it actually pop the boot all the way up? or just slightly pop it so you can pull it open?

Just slightly so you can pull it open without using the catch.

Sound :)

You might be able to do the spring mod to pop it all the way open. It's an easy one, not sure of any fab owners have tried. I have some spare red springs if you wanna try

Were do these springs go?

Wouldn't mind this mod myself as opening the hatch would be handy

Yeh I will give the mod a go I think, how much you want for the spring mate?

Nowt, let me know your address and I'll dig em out.

It's a easily reversible mod.

Bit of topic but thanks for the recommendation for silver systems in leek :) got the same as you with the 2.5" tip as its the only one they had in but looks class and sounds a bit better :) should sound better when I get a map too :) cheers

the spring trick wont work sorry. Tried it myself and the problem lies with not enough room between the arm and chamber of the gas struts when the boot is shut.

Ah bugger

Crazy idea that would probably be difficult to implement. You could wire up another boot pop release motor with a relay to the first one, and have this actuate a lever to push the boot open. If the motor can move the lever enough and have enough torque to push the boot the required distance it could work. Probably not worth the effort though.
