Elegance Climatronic and cold engine

Featured Replies

If you just set to Auto how does your Climatronic behave when the engine is cold?

Usually when that's the case of having climatronic abilities, the car will 'sense' and deermine the temperature and cool/release conditioned air accordingly. If it's bloody hot, it will set it on max, cold, vice versa.

I had an 3.0 mv6 omega before i bought my fab 2.0, and that car was climatronic.

It'll put about three stops of fan onto the windscreen until then engine is warm then all hell breaks loose.

So you get no cold air to the footwells then?

no, you wouldn't normally get cold air into the footwell. The basic cold blow status is 2-3 stops of fan with 70% to screen and 30% to side. Once the engine warms up then it will move to 4 stops of fan 10% screen, 40% side and 50% feet until it gets up to temp.

Assuming your auto temp is between 19.5 and 21.5 ... either side of that and it'll be different. It'll also be different when the heat wave hits and the temp outside is greater than 15
