Had a spin as a passenger in a new 1.2 Polo 3 door Match. 3 cylinder 60 Bhp. What a good solid grown up car. Quite nippy and it cruises quietly and effortlessly at the motorway limit with a growly engine note audible around town. Impressed with interior quality and general styling but would probably baulk at using my own cash for a new one at £11300. I imagine the GTI is a belter.

Probably... but it won't sound as good (to me) as the 3 cylinder does. I had a 3 cylinder TDI Audi A2 and just loved the mini Porsche 911 sound it made!
