Turtle Wax Gloss Guard

Featured Replies

AutoExpress have released results of their 'comprehensive' testing of polish/waxes and the like and said that this one performed best . . . .

Can anyone confirm if this is the same type of product as 'Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection' - ie. Not a polish or a wax but something that 'goes on top' for extra protection?

Has anyone used it and been impressed?

I've tried loads in my time (being a old get!) The worst one IMHO was Wonder Resin with Wonder Glaze (or something similar....memory fades as you get older!)

Made by the same crowd that do Wonder Wheels the Resin Polish gave a fantastic finish but......then you are supposed to apply the "Glaze" or whatever it was called and it just ruined the luxurious shine I'd spent hours on.....never again!

Turtle Wax.....Wax It Wet is my latest find....does exactly what it says on the bottle and the car, depite being three years old, looks like it just stepped out of a salon :thumbup::thumbup:

It looks so good that people have stopped me in car parks and asked how I got the car looking so shiney.......now that is a recommend!

Just used T/Wax Gloss Guard today after polishing the car. It is a finisher and it's a thin liquid - easy to apply. Rub it in till it's a whitish colour then polish off. Car looks great. If you lean on it now, you slide onto the floor!

Just to let you know this stuff seems to work a treat!

After some 4/5 weeks (and many miles) it was still beading all over the car - even on the front part of the bonnet which would normally go first. It also seemed to make cleaning the car easier last time around too as the dirt didn't seem to stick like it normally would.

Nearly forgot . . . it was dead easy to apply too . . . . It's a runny liquid that you can apply thinly with a cloth . . . . it hazes over . . . . you leave it for a while then come back and buff it up . . . nice.

I have just used Meguiars Body Scrub to clean the paintwork in preparation for the wax and then used their Cleaner Wax. It was very easy to apply and the finish is the best I have seen. The paintwork feels just like glass and the reflection in the bodywork is second to none.

In the past I have used various Turtle Wax products, MER amd AutoGlym and they don't come near the Meguiars.

So give it a try and you won't be disappointed
