Drivers seatbelt not fastened warning ???

That was why I asked. When I bought the car and drove it off I didn't notice it, but then the next time I started I got this warning and I was like "oh cr@p I've bought a lemon". Phoned the dealer up and sure enough seatbelt warning!!!

I think it might be configurable.

Why not just wear it?

It goes off as soon as you put the keys in the ignition and turn the key, without having started the engine. There are plenty of times you do that before putting your seatbelt on.

Last time I checked I only needed to wear my seatbelt when I'm driving :p

the beeps are the seatbelt...silly me...

(I always drive with the seatbelt on)

I do get a brake light failure warning from time to time, then it starts working again.

The radio has stopped and needed to be switched on and off a couple of times... thought I had the wet carpet problem, but interior is dry after 2 days of rain.

Looks like my Torque converter clutch solenoid is playing up.... luckily, there is an independent VW audi specialist in the next village

.....After 6 months without too many problems,

the gearbox has now completely packed up.

The car was taken to Skoda dealer in Châteauroux, and they have suggested 'dead gearbox' and want 4600Euro to replace with recon! ouch.

(and I thought that York Skoda were expensive at £3000)

Long shot, but, does anyone know of an autobox specialist in the Châteauroux/Poitiers area? I can find plenty in Paris, but that is 200 miles away!
