Hi.

This kind of weird problem: central locking is working, but there is some kind of contact missing between door and body.

It doesnt show on dashboard if the door is open, it doesnt beep when i open the door and lights are on.

Any clues?

door switch kaput? Fabia and Octavia's I think theres a micro switch in lock mech somewhere.

Had a similar problem with wifes Fabia few years back sprayed a load of electrical contact cleaner in and around lock mech, following morning it worked sort off and better progressivly throughtout the day until good as new as it still is (goes n touch's wood) maybe Superb is the same???

Hi, I Had the same with mine, Its a strip down of the door to sort it and a replacement of the whole door lock because of what I can imagine is only a small micro switch, so before I attempted all that I threw caution to the wind and almost emptied a can of electrical contact cleaner in the lock through the catch on the outside of the door, amazingly this seems to have worked as it is nearly 6 months later and everything still works fine.

Might be worth a go before all the effort and cost to sort it.

It is your light switch that's gone kaput if its like my own then the connections have corroded and you might get away with spraying - I changed mine and fitted one from a toyota further down the door the old fashioned method -- simply because Mr Skoda maintained I had to buy a complete new locking mechanism at over a €100 so just to vex him I fitted the toyota one and took the car back just to show him ------- SOMETHING TO REMEMBER with this switch malfunctioning the car doesn't reconise that the drivers door has been opened and if you get in put the key in ignition then get out of car without switching the car on it will lock leaving you on the outside with the key on the inside NOT NICE
