Fabia 1.4 8v rad change

Featured Replies

I've a small leak on the rad so am going to put a new rad on, anything I should know before getting started? All seems pretty straight forward? Thanks ,Stevie

Is the leak from the passenger side?

No, it's from the driver's side at the bottom, it has rotted on the corner.

Do you have air con?

Either way it's pretty simple, bumper off, front carrier slid forwards, remove fan and rad slides out towards the engine.

Bumper off eh? Looked like it'd come off from inside the engine compartment... It's the rad with the fan attached if that makes any difference.

Thanks, Steve

and. er, no air con

It's bolted in through the front of the carrier though.

Ok, thanks for the advice. The cooling system gets a flush through and some new antifreeze as well.

Best wishes, Stevie
