Hi folks, not sure if I should post this here or in 'tech advice' but here goes... I'v got a 55 plate 1.9 tdi elegance estate, during the heavy weather on saturday night I ploughed into a deep puddle and car hasn't been same since... Just back from friends garage who has a basic code reader thingy, i'm getting fault codes PO113-air intake temp sensor, PO401-exhaust gas recirculation flow: insufficient detected... He reckons turbo actuator isn't actuating, he unplugged vaccum hoses and electrical plugs around top half of engine and engine bay with no joy (don't ask me what they were cos i'v no idea) he suggests car on ramps tomorrow, under tray off and check for water in electrics... Anyone got any suggestions ?

The air intake is behind the front grille on the passenger's side, facing forwards. If you made a big wave it could have swallowed some water, which is not good news for the motor. Whip the top off the air filter and see if the air filter is soggy.

Hi, I checked the air filter last night and its bone dry... From what I can see the water didn't get any higher than the front number plate.

The car starts as usual but is VERY slow when driving (feels like my old MK1 octy sdi) we'v concluded that the turbo isn't spinning up so looking for a reason/fault at bottom half of engine thats causing turbo malfunction due to water ingress... HEEEEEEEEEEELP

Check the pipes going to/from the turbo and intercooler and also all the wiring around that area.
