1.4 MPI problem - does not start

Featured Replies

After 300km of drive in heavy rain motor was wobbling a little bit but was working. But on next morning the car just did not start, you can listen the sount (if that tells anything) ->

Technician checked with computer and according to computer there seems be some problem with air flow (but technician suggested that it seems unreal).

Anyone seen/heard something similar?

Model name: 6Y Skoda Fabia

Engine: H 1.4 MPI 8V, petrol 44 kW (60 PS) @ 5000 rev., 118 Nm @ 2600 rev., OHV, EU2, EU4

Engine codes possible: AZE, AZF

Model Year: 2000

Camshaft position sensor maybe?

Could always be the throttle body... considering you said it's complaining of air flow... Give it a good clean and see if there are still issues.

If you whip the intake for the throttle body off, when you start you'll soon see if the TB is working or not as the butterfly valve will open. If it's not, replace that.
