Lowering springs from a Cupra

Featured Replies

Would a set of lowering springs from an Ibiza Cupra (1.4 TSI) fit the vRS?

They would fit, however, the important factor is that springs are designed off of axle weights, and this is where the cupra and vRS differ.

Net result could be either to soft, too bouncy or to stiff

If your after lowering springs go to demon tweaks and speak to a chap called Chris Rhodes or Paul Jones.

They were about £150 for a set of Eibachs (if you just want lowering springs they are the best brand)

there are 2 different types of lowering springs available on fleabay .. for the vRS II

thanks for the replies, i have seen the eibach's and thats what i was after, but I seen some PI ones for the cupra for £88.50

They won't fit - the Cupra has the PQ25 chassis and we have the PQ24 chassis or something like that

As Ad has said I don't believe they will fit as the Ibiza uses a newer platform

The Fabia vRS uses the same front dampers as the Ibiza Cupra, the MK2 Fabia changed to the smaller MK1 Octavia damper top mounts along with the steel subframe without consoles around 9-10MY chassis.

Yeah a lot of companies are still using the old price lists from Eibach so it's one range that we struggle to go any lower on. If there's any other brands that your interested in just let me know.
