Can Everyone Stop Talking About Winter Tyres

Featured Replies

Had mine on for over a month now and today has been the first time its actually been below 7C.

My only conclusion to this is that too many people are preparing for winter this year, so please stop before my tyres wear out in this tropical winter :giggle:

So, you are attempting to get people to stop talking about this by talking about them! Just think people will start moaning about the weather and talking about how winter tyres are still good above 7 degrees!

HaHa true! I don't get as much grip above 7 degrees as i would with my 18s and i am worried about premature wear on them due to them being so soft.

Mine are still in the shed! lol

Well the forecast for the next 5 days for the Midlands shows the temp should stay below 7 degrees except for Saturday so it looks like the time has come for the winter boots to go on, just in time for the arrival of my new car :( .

:giggle: :giggle: :giggle: I've not put mine on either but thinking of doing so this Saturday. I've also seen a long term forecast suggesting snow around the 16th? Don't forget there is still all of December, January, February and March ahead to have temperatures below 7 degrees! B)

So enjoy the sun whilst it lasts and next year look at the long term forecasts BEFORE putting your winter rubber on religiously on the 1st of November. ;)

I only put mine one when we get more than 5 continueous days of temps lower than +5c.....so they went on last Sunday.....lovely........the weather has only got colder!!!!!........
