Hi all I've got a MRk 1 fabia vrs at the mo and been on the site for a while, the story is that I've had my first child he is now 1, and I've had enough of the harsh ride from the suspension (that I put on) the heavy clutch that yes I put on, also it dosent do a great job at keeping outside noises out, so it's not great on longer journeys, so I'm after a comfortable good to drive but fun car, I set my mind on a Saab 9-3, test drove one and really liked it, but I never really gave the octavia a thought, it would need to be a vrs, I would like it to have xenons and prefer leather seats to keep up with the spec of the Saab, so is there any advice for buying an octavia, also what is considered low or high mileage on petrol model? If any one is down Cornwall way and fancies taking me out to see what it's like to ride in that would be fantastic, the local dealer are very difficult to deal with to say the least.

You know of course that Saab has gone belly up. So that will mean it's very much a buyers market and you

should be able to give a good quote to any one who wants to sell.

On the other hand think of the resale and service/spares and the feeling of pride and self satisfaction you

won't get from the car.

Brings back memories of when Rover hit the fan.

You don't mention budget, I assume you are looking at used?

eBay and Autotrader are good, for the newer facelift vRS's then Skoda's own used car site is a good source...

Mines is advertised less than your budget, although standard but could do a deal. Plus is low miles. Its a TDi VRS.

You will struggle to find a full leather one, very rare IMO.

Yes Im sure they did but Im sure it was just before they changed shape so again not many about.
