control system for exhaust light

Featured Replies

Hi, Ive never been on here before but ive got a problem i was driving along a normal road about 40 in my 2004 fabia 1.4 and the 'control system for exhaust' orange light came on but the car felt completely normal until i got home. next time i turned it on it gave a kind of chug clunk noise when i turned it on but was absolutely fine driving it aound town roads. i need to drive on the motorway in a few days and want to know is it safe? ive been on lots of these sites and people keep saying its a fault that their garage can never find and just turn the light off. I dont event know what control system for exhaust means, can anyone help? thanks

If it is like the VRS's, might be a misfire.

Get the dealers to run a diagnostics scan on it, see if any errors are logged.
