:'( i just want to no how you get your songs to show there name on the swing radio etc i have two cables one for the aux and one for the media in when i plug my i phone into each of them it plays the songs theres no difference .

do i have the wrong cable for the media in ,is that why it doesnt show the music names when i plug it in

Press the 'info' button for song names, etc :)

Edit: will only work for media in, aux input is purely an audio signal only.

I noticed the 'media in' port below the glove box. What is it for ?

I understand what media is, but the connector seems a little strange to me.

its a propriety connector, with the appropriate lead from ebay / dealer you can plug your phone / usb key/ usb hdd into this socket and control them directly from your headunit.

you should have got a free cable when you bought the car, usually an ipod, i got the one for usb memsticks too
