I know its an estate, but mine gives you a good idea from the front. Its quite a bluey grey IMO

Here it is

Anybody got pics of the above they could post?

I have just taken delivery of a new Steel Grey, now, I think, called Platinum hatchback. The colour code is the same for both descriptions.

My twin door is the Elegance spec, DSG diesel with the 170PS engine.

I have just come back from a 400 mile return trip to Norwich from West Sussex and obtained 48mpg which was exceptional given the traffic jams on the M11 and stop/start on the M25 approaching the Dartford tunnel. I was being quite careful with my right foot as I have only driven the car for just over 700 miles but its acceleration on overtaking and power going up hills is fantastic.

I apologize for drifting away from the initial question but just had to offer a new owner's observation after less than three weeks in my hands.

I would like to upload some photos of my car but I need somebody to give me the idiot's guide as to how to do it so if there is a kind person out there who knows the process please add to this thread.

The easiest way is to upload all your pics to photobucket and then paste the image URL in the post editor on here. Have a quick search on google for how-tos

That's interesting regards colours. I have been offered by one dealer a 'Platinum' 2.0CR s with rear sensors and £400 steering wheel.

It was in stock and ready to go but I'm keen on a greenline. I can't find platinum on the skoda website or new brochure.

I rang skoda customer services and they told me platinum was replaced by steel grey approx 8 months ago?

Well my steel grey was first registered in may, but I don't know the build date

I have just looked at my order placed on 14th October and can confirm that the current name for colour code 2G2G is Platin Grey Metallic. I did check this against the colour swatch in my local Skoda dealer's showroom where it is shown as Steel Grey but they have not yet received any new material to change the display.

It seems that the colour has stayed the sme but the name is changing? With conflicting info I suppose its mid change.

Either way its a fantastic colour - It seems to give it a more expensive look.

Dealer has told me I can order either colour but it is the same colour & colour code?

I think I have at last been able to find out how to send photos of my Steel Grey/Platinum Superb Elegance.

I hope you like them.Viewfromrearseatslookingatfrontinsideofcar.jpg
