K&N 57S-9501 Performance Intake kit?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am confused with the K&N panel filter(stock replacement) & the K&N 57S performance intake kit for my 1.8tsi fl octy, i want to know if i go for the 57S performance intake kit do i need a ECU remap or will my stock ecu adjust to the performance gain?

i m use to modding bikes where we install a powercommander(piggy back ecu mapper) when a race air filter & sports exhaust is installed, so pretty confused if i should install the k&n 57s air intake kit as i have the stock ecu map on my car :S any help would be great..

In a word - NO

You won't need a remap to fit a filter or induction kit. Only highly strung motors like Evo's etc need a remap when you change anything.
