It'll do the job - if you have a search on here for Tuning Boxes there should be some references to them...

Though where it says:

followed by:

The PdBoX simply increases the injected amount of fuel so the power of the engine increases!

Makes me think they're lying in the first case, and it is just a resistor in a box.

Not that that's a bad thing, necessarily... :)

I run something similar as do a few of the other members. Mine was a claimed 25/30% performance increase, but mine doesn't have an "overheating protection circuit" as far as I'm aware ;) Paid 30 quid for it and the butt dyno definitely notices a difference, however on the newer cars you may find that you get an error logged and the CEL comes on. No actual damage, just the ECU getting confused.

Oh, and can be fitted and removed in about 5 mins :D
