Yeti diy jobs/repairs

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

Starting to settle into owning the yeti and loving it upgrades soon to come but now starting to look to the future costs involved with owning one

So was wondering if the brake pads and discs are a standard simple job or have skoda managed to make it a ball ache job as i was able to do them on my golf mk4

Also the wheel/hub bearing seems to be a bolt on kit instead of the older style press fit which involved a bloody expensive puller/press tool so would anyone know if this is true and if they know of any other jobs that can be done by a reasonable mechanical mind/skillset.

Our 4x4 110's front brake set up is an old design, same callipers as used on my son's 03 Fabia. rear brakes are newer; found on the Golf VI.

The Russian vagcats site is a good place to look at the parts used.
