Featured Replies

can someone point me in the direction of a UK based seller of wind deflectors (team heiko) if possible, can't seem to find anything.

wanting em in a dark smoke colour, linkys?. .

thanks.

Hi

I got my Team Hekio deflectors on eBay .

Regards Whoosh

Are these clip-in or stick-on (eBay listing doesn't say) - I'd prefer the former as long as they don't un-clip at speed!

EDIT - I thought I should Google first - seems like they clip though there's a knack to getting it right - and there's an installation video which I'll look at once I'm off PAYG mobile broadband!

Thanks people :-D

I have just got some team heiko wind deflectors from eBay as a Cristmas prezzie to myself the rears use adhesive strips and clips and fronts use half adhesive strips and clips they hold in place fine and do a great job makes life easier on the motorway I can link you some piks of mIne fitted to my car if you like so I can see the quality I think mine were 34 pound delivered or 30 not too sure will check but defo worth the money

I have them on he Cupra from this guy:

http://zero2eight.com/ni-deflectors/

Bit cheaper than ebay, but then he usually organised collection in Northern Ireland but would probably post, so its worth a try give him an email and see.

He did have a propper website I think, but dammed if I can find it.

I got the genuine, new, Heiko ones from ebay recently and was not impressed. No clips in the box, the deflectors were lined with sticky tape which had been stuck to the wrong side (the inside, so that when the window is up it would make contact with the sticky strip, argh, which I had to peel off and then use superglue to hold them in place. Even then, the anti-jam mech on the window causes the window to come back down again unless you edge it up near the top a bit at a time. I'm trying to get some clips but can't find them. I also had to file away at the edges to make the closure a bit smoother as the window clunked badly over the plastic edges. Not impressed.

I had climair ones on my previous car (03 passat) and they were a perfect fit with no-issues, top quality. Expensive though at nearly £50, but worth it. I wish I'd got them for the VRS. Pity some bu**er stole them.

Yes please if you don't mind

right i couldnt get close up piks right now as its pitch black but i will post some close up ones of the window canel and how snug they fit tomorow

but for now heres a pik from yesterday bear in mind my car is not a vrs so will look better on a real vrs but these fit real snug and hold realy tight only took me 15 minz to fit and obviously you have to leave windows up for atleast 12 hours left mine up for 24 hours and are solid and snug you would have trouble stealing these as the clips have claws witch grip realy strong into the window canel all together they cost £32.14 delivered and arived well before the ebay arival date witch was sad as i forced myself to wait untill cristmas day to open and fit :( but all done and fitted now heres some piks of the car with them on and the link i got them from i do recomend these but if your not 100% confident to fit get someone who is to fit them but these realy are a doodle to fit hope this helps

ye they are the best type of prezzies and every year when i get myself a prezzie i allways get the right one every time i get what i wanted its great :giggle:

Thanks for the pictures. Probably looks best on a black car - not sure they'd work as well on my blue one. I also find the "nibbled out" sections odd; clearly the front ones are for the mirror visibility, but why are the back ones treated the same at the back?

got a full set of heko wind deflectors and there the very best, grand at speed as well

i did wonder this myself when i first opend the box and i have no clue why but my gues it to alow the wind at high speeds to escape easier lol i dno ill have to google it and see there good tho so any body considering them go for it B)
