Revo booked

Featured Replies

Today i decided to pop to my local Revo dealer (the phirm)to enquire about my octavia rs, and came out with the car booked in tomorrow for a remap :) this is the first car that i have had done so quite excited. The car is standard apart from a green panel filter and 007p diverter valve

Fair play- bet your well excited! I would be :p

You'll love it, totally transforms the car.

you will be impressed.

I take it that you are getting stage 1 based on your level of std tune. Will make your car feel like night and day.

I went stage 1 and gradually added more tuning parts to prep for stage 2 which i now have and that is a whole new level again.

Really can't wait. not long now.

how many horses?

Should be around the 210 mark Id have thought. But a lot of added torque too.

I'm a bit confused...if I remap my non-RS 1.8T(150HP) I get 207 ,from REVO too

They do remap to slightly more than the 150s, not by much though.

What's the price in UK for Revo St1?

In Romania is 500 Euro,I bet in UK is cheaper

Yep a stage 1 remap around the 205 to 210bhp with around 235 to 240lbs torque

My stage 2 is running 226bhp with 262lbs of torque

Yep that is about right, as mentioned the 150 and 180 bhp cars map to around the same, this is down to the fact the K03 and K03s turbos are very similar. Even the later 1.8t Octy's had the same Octy VRS K03s turbo anyway.

UK price around £350

Bit late now but Revo is not the best choice from some of the reviews I have read.

Why not?and wich do you suggest is better?

Why?? please share these reviews as I have not seen bad press. I have seen bad press on many others though

I can certainly vouch for REVO based on my experience and i know other briskodians can to.

I have not read anything bad either. i previously owned a Leon cupra. The gus on the seat forum don't seem to use anyone other than revo

Well I did a lot of reading before getting mine remapped and the view seems to be that Revo maps tend to be peaky / savage in power delivery and can kill clutches very quickly also they only do a one map fits all where as other companys can tweak parts to suit, worth remembering as well they lock the ecu and it can then not be remapped by anyone else.

It is a shame that people think remap = Revo when there are so many other choices, R Tech are very good as are Carbon Tech.

I was all set for a Revo on mine but went with a local company

Interesting about your reading. Like to see real evidence of those claims, nothing to do with people having more power and using the car fiercely then. Could say the same about all maps, more power on a std worn clutch could lead to it wearing out quicker if map is being used for why it was purchased.

As these cars are 10 years old now it is not uncommon that clutches are starting to go regardless of a mapped car or std. But yes if people are mapping a car of this age then any Map may take the remaining life of a wearing clutch sooner or later.

In fact look on this site last month alone i see half a dozen folks with Clutch issues.

Actually people on this site do not just think REVO they also look at R tech, Shark performance and more.

Also REVO do custom the Map as mine is. They will check the spec of the car and dial the correct Fuel, timing and boost appropriate to tune of car. I have had mine tweaked a number of times after adding different parts

As stated had mine on stage 2 for 3 years, on original clutch which was not that good when I got it mapped.

Don't mind people having a opinion, but let's back this up with evidence when dissing companies.

Sounds like I am a REVO rep :giggle:

Good to give the good bad comments on Maps and Mappers, but let's back comment's up with fact's.

P.S Revo have a good end of year deal

Free STS with a Map and 10% off. Now where did i put my REVO shirt and overall's

The only bad thing I ever heard about REVO Maps was their trial maps, people who had them and then tried to get another remap at a later date were having problems getting a new map on there because when the REVO trial map ran out the ECU wasn't being flashed back to standard.

Other than that no real problems - I think they're one of the franchises who've been doing maps since the early days whereas a lot of the names I've seen on here have come and gone in the popularity stakes.

i think the problem is some cars like certain remaps others dont, and things come and go in popularity, wasnt to long ago every vag group car owner needed a AmD remap in his/her life :)

I just come back from having it done. it has totally transfer the car

Glad to hear you are pleased buddy
