Irish Yeti Spec and prices

Recommended Posts

I just thought that I might post the up to date prices for the Yeti in Ireland. This price list takes into account a 2% VAT rise implemented in the last budget. I have also included a link to the appropriate page on the Skoda.ie website so that you can compare spec's. Note the inclusion of the 140 Green line technology version.

Interesting comparison with what we get then. Looks like on the whole UK specs get more standard kit but you have a better options list. Take it the tow bar option is factory fitted :wonder: Also see rear side air-bags and double sun visors are available; would have liked those. However like over here your lumbered with 17" alloys as standard :S and there's not much choice for 4x4 (need deep wallets :( ) but ahead of SUK in offering the 140 2wd

Indeed the tow bar is factory fit. Skoda Ireland have gradualy down sped'd the varients (possibly to avoid additional price rises) for example my 2010 Ambition came with cruise control and belero radio as standard, these are now standard on the Elegance but not the Ambition.

I guess they think the 4X4 market is limited over here so they only offer a limited and expensive range. Interestingly Nissan are introducing a low emissions 1.6TDi 4x4 in the middle of 2012 over here, that might prompt Skoda Ireland to rethink their 4X4 options. The 140 2wd is tax band B over here and more economical than the 110 2wd. The 140 4x4 would be tax band C the same as the 170 4x4 so it would probably not be worth offering as an option. The 110 4x4 would also prpbably fall into band C. The market for petrol cars here is very small with some manufacturers not evn offering petrol varients (for example Ford only offer the Focus in 1.6TDi).

As for the 17" alloys the only way around them over here is to order the Greenline.

I've included a link below showing what prices the dealers are looking for a 2012 Yeti.

What % is VAT in Ireland?

It might be worth looking at an import if the Euro devalues a bit more against the £ ?

23% as of 1/1/2012, Prices here also include VRT which is emissions based.

Here's an example of an SE that came the other way:

Just for comparison purposes I've included this link to the Irish prices for the Qashqai. Note the 1.6 TDI 4x4 with a road fund tax of 225. Since the Qashqai is already popular here I can see the 4x4 cornering that market when compared to the prices for the Yeti 4x4 options.

I do think Skoda/ VAG have missed a beat by not releasing a lower powered 4x4 option, it ticks a lot of consumers boxes.

They do in the Octavia; 1.6 CR TDI (105) 4x4. However it's down on torque compared to the 2.0 110 4x4, so I assume that's why it's not made it across to the slightly heavier and more brick like Yeti.

Big fan of the 2.0 110 4x4; having initially been concerned by 'stepped down' from a 140, I've found theres little to choose between them and of note the 140 uses the same basic engine and components.

Most interesting to know this. Thank you for sharing it.

May I request you for the comparative pricing for the 140BHP Cr, 4x4, 2 litre Manual Shift Transmission, Elegance and Experience versions please?

They cost about 2126000 rupees here in India all inclusive, VAT, Road Taxes, Insurance etc - which is equivalent to about 20000 Pounds give or take.

Would love to know the price in Euros in Ireland.

Thanks!

Hi the 140 4x4 is only available as a DSG in Ireland as the way the motor tax works over here it would fall into the same band as the 170 4x4 manual.

The most popular version in Ireland is the 1.6TDi accounting for over 58% of sales, next is the 110TDi. Skoda Ireland probably don't think it worth while distributing another model in the less popular segment.
