Looking to get my 2nd VRS whats changed?

Featured Replies

Looks like we might getting another New VRS hatch this time with DSG (Diesel), I have checked the spec on the skoda site and its not much different from our old pre-facelift we had.

Does anyone know of any other build changes due or updates?, and NO its not going to be green ..lol

I noticed the black alcantara seats but for some reason on the website it will not allow me to have this with out having Leather Boothtooth gater :giggle: if I choose that its not allowing me the 3 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio, very strange.

It's nice to be back on here the BMW forums are rubbish :)

Just got mine (diesel/dsg/vrs) after 18 weeks of waiting. Just a heads up.

Not much changed inside - new steering wheel, Bolero as standard, climate control layout looks slightly different. No spare as standard - you'll need to order it if you don't just want a can of gloop. The three spoke wheel should be standard in the UK which is where I'm assuming you're from ?

Thanks for that, I was aware of the build time as I want Xenons etc, I am in the UK :), I have also asked for a full size spare as well I had problems in the past with a Focus ST2 with no spare, ripped tyre, a can of that gloop no help and 6 hour wait for the AA :(

Does the full size spare take away bit of performance with the added weight and also fuel consumption at all? was thinking about this other day as i have a full size and it weighs a fair bit :strong:

If you had a spare in the car your selling, take it out along with the jack etc act and put the can of gloop in there

No not Massively To be honest, on the old car it was fine :)

Tin of 'gloop' saves 20Kg I think according to the brochure....? would you really notice the difference in performance!

Think I'd rather have a little less performance rather than a 6 hr wait for rescue !

Just found out I have build week 9, 1st week in March can't wait B)

Nice. What colour have you gone for?

Think all the changes have been mentioned. Facelift also gets different headlights, front wings and front grille as I'm sure you've noticed! And 18" Neptunes instead of the Zeniths.

Clocks/dials have also been revised, so you'll notice a difference in those and the fuel gauge etc, over the pre-FL you had before.

I had a pre FL diesel vRS CR before my current TDi140CR. I found the engine note to drone quite noticeably between an indicated 75 and 90 (on continental motorways officer). Has anyone noticed whether the FL diesel vRS models suffer from this too as I am tempted back to a vRS but, as I spend most of my time on the motorway, I don't want to lose all of the high speed engine refinement of the 140cr.

Thanks

We opted for the same as before Blue :) the best colour imo I had driven a FL last year and did like it, the thing is it seems quicker than the BM even though its remapped and more power per ton.

So the change isn't going to be too bad, as we are going from 2 cars to 1 the other being a Fabia Sport 1.9.

With the 20% off it was a no brainier to by another VRS. B)
