BBS LM style

Featured Replies

I think they would look great on a mk1. 5x100 is right but not sure on the offset. I'm sure someone can give a yay or nay though.

Do it..........nice to see someone going for something different for a change

Thanks :)

It's something I have been looking at for...well, years really. I have always loved these style wheels and have asked on here a few times if there were any pics of a black mk1 ockty with these on.

That red one has only recently been posted up and I think it looks great.

I have also been speaking to rare rims as rota make a wheel very similar to the bbs lm but they don't make them to fit the mk1 octavia :(

So I found these and I think I'll go for it.

Found plenty of pics of Boras with them fitted and I think they look cool. Bora was the closest car I could find to an ockty ;)

I remember the rota thread cause I was lookin at the grids at the same time when I had my vrs.

Lm's are a nice wheel B)

Here is my octy vrs wrc with lm's I fitted them yesterday and too my surprise they don't fit correctly. The fronts are 8x18 and went straight on. The rears are 9x18 and needed a 15mm spacer too clear the brake calipers ??? So a 9" rim ET 35 an a 15mm spacer equals huge poke :-(

Here are some pictures I taken yesterday

They look absolutely awesome!!

It's a shame about them not fitting correctly at the rears :(

I know the Mk4 Golf boys are running the 18x9 at the rears but I think the Octy should probably be 18x8 or maybe 8.5 all round.

Thanks for uploading the pics, as I say, I reckon that looks bloody fantastic!

The 9"s will fit but it's because I have to run a 15mm spacer. I am thinking of machining the rear calipers and try again before I sell them

They look bloody brill mate.

You car is low as mine so I would expect you get the tyre rubbing if kept like that.

In fact you rear looks slightly lower pointing than the front which i would have thought makes turning handling a little strange??

Would 10mm spacers have fitted? May make them sit a little better.

Very nice though.

I need to higher the rear a little bit and 10 mm won't fit :-( so I'm weighing up the options to see if it's worth getting them to fit or just sell

Be very carefull with reps some are very heavy.

Also very strange that 9" rears will not fit without a spacer

They won't fit due to the rear calipers.

Surely the rear rim isn't et35 as it would fit if it was???

Yep defo et35 they fit my golf gti. 20v t but the vrs has bigger rear brakes and the spokes are hitting the calipers. They have sold now anyway. I got some genuine bbs ch's on the way

Very true but I tried and failed with the 9.5" on my civic. I had gtr's in that size on my 200sx and tried to get them to fit civic fail. I did get a 9" on the rear tho ultralites a techs
