Is RARB necessary if car is lowered?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to lower my fabia VRS on eibach's but I've heard good things about adding a RARB.

Will it make much difference if I add the RARB once I've had those springs fitted?

I'm looking at the whiteline specifically rather than Jabba due to cost.

Thanks in advance.

With a -25mm spring only drop a RARB is highly recommended. I have a whiteline fitted to mine and I cannot recommend them enough. I am putting coilovers onto my car this month so the RARB is coming off only due to the fact its no longer going to be making (much)/a difference.

Yep, it'll make a difference.

I'm on Eibachs plus a Jabba RARB and it makes a big difference.

Great, thanks for the replies!

So a rarb wouldn't make a difference to Coilovers? So I can sell my rarb when I buy mine!

I know luke said he couldnt feel any difference when he took his off. But then his set up s pretty stiff.

Anti roll bar will make the car stiffer when cornering only. Coilovers will make the car stiffer at all times - whether cornering or not.

An anti roll bar will still have an effect, regardless of what coilovers you have on (within reason).

anti-roll bar will also make the car stiffer at all times

If it's very stiff then the RARB effect is minimised. It works on difference in deflection (movement) of the rear wheels. Less roll due to heavier springs and lowering...

If the car can get its arse out without a RARB you don't need one IMO.

Which is why I don't feel the need to splash out £100+ on one for mine. Car handles a dream now after fitting AP Coilies.

To be honest for standard or -25mm the arb is worth it IMO based on my driving style but with coilovers fitted and lowered say -50mm/-60mm a rarb is not needed for my driving style.

I'm sure he said he felt a difference when he put the jabba rarb onto his car tho.

So huxley how much you wanting for it then ?

He swiftly removed it and sold it to me so I guess he didn't!

I think with well set up firm suspension they aren't needed
