OEM bluetooth disappeared, '08 pre-FL

Featured Replies

Hi,

on my 2008 model year Octavia (pre-FL), I was relatively happily using OEM bluetooth (1Z0 035 729, no letter after that) for four years. Suddenly few days ago I noticed that my phone was no longer connecting to car bluetooth. I was still seeing "Skoda UHV" in my phone, but couldn't connect to it anymore. I then unpaired it from phone and tried to pair it again, but I could no longer find Skoda UHV. I neither find Phone in Maxidot anymore.

I've tried pulling the fuses of phone and radio, as well as pulling the wires of the bluetooth unit. I've also restarted phone and tried with other phone. No effect. Also if I try to press buttons on the multifunction steering wheel, nothing happens - phone button or voice command button do nothing. Everything else seems to be working fine (radio controls on steering wheel, radio itself, etc.)

Is there anything more I could try to fix this myself?
