Since i started driving 7 years ago, ive owned 2 B5 Passats and a B6 Passat, i then had an ODD period about 2 months ago and bought a mazda 6 which i have sold as of today and am the proud owner of a 2007 OCTAVIA VRS TDI 170 Saloon

Oh My God!!! The power!!! Just Awesome!!!! To be honest, Im just glad to be back in a VAG

ive got 2 issues which ive found on my drive back home, the temperature needle is all over the place jumping between 50 and 90,i think its the temp sensor,anybody got the part number for it?

Also, and this is mega annoying, the wipers are switched off yet they are constantly coming on,sometimes slow and sometimes extremely fast all by themselves!!! Where do i even start looking, if it was my passat, i'd have half the dash open!

Oh and i borrowed a friends cheap diagnostic tool off ebay, and it came up with 00280 which ive found has something to do with the ABS system,cleared it and hasnt come back on,the engine light was on also but that went off aswell

Any help would be appreciated guys and girls and ill be on here a lot more than the other Vag forums which im normally on all the time!
