2 stops weymouth & st jean du monts on the west coast , then all the way down to marseille may stop in between st jean du monts and Marseilles not 100% though, we are staying inland a bit from Marseilles

Hello again! Try the "Logis De France" hotel chain, they are really good (local food and most important, vino.. Google it as the website is good too, in English also if needs be....

I will look them up , we are staying in a friends farmhouse near la Rochel but may need somewhere in between there and Marseilles, freind get wine for €1.5 a bottle and good stuff red , white so Thanx again will look em up

I would love to run from up here in Sunderland to Frejus as i love the south of France but the cost of Fuel Tolls Ferry etc,it would be cheaper to fly and rent a car the other end.

My parents used to take us down to south of France every summer when we were kids but fuel was cheap in those days and we lived in Sussex

I'm going for a little run too but I think mine will take me much longer. Will be driving through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and my final stop is Poland (almost 1,000 miles each way so piece of cake for my Fabia... Leaving on 27.01.12 and have to use winter shoes due to the weather conditions and restrictions in some of those countries. Should be fun. Matty

do they need some kind of headlight adapter and a warning triangle in some countries as a legal requirement

In most of the european countires you need (as a legal req): fire extinguisher, Hi-Vis jacket (must be kept in the car - not it the boot), warning triangle, headlight adapters and first aid
