Featured Replies

Hi folks looking for help locating parts... I have a 55 plate 19 tdi octavia pd estate and i'm trying to find the intake air temperature sensor AND the fuel temperature sensor on my car... My mechanic reckons he knows of 1 fuel temp sensor located amongst wiring and piping at the top right corner at front of engine, but someone has told him my car has a 2nd fuel temp sensor possibly inside the fuel tank... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Happy new year all...

HHelloooooooooooo

You're not being ignored, I think your question has just stumped everyone.

As far as I know on these engines the air intake temperature sensor is combined with the MAP sensor.

As for a temp sensor in the fuel tank I've never heard of one. There is I think a thermostatic valve built into the diesel filter housing that diverts diesel through the fuel cooler if the fuel returning to the tank gets too hot. This isn't a sensor as such though, its a purely mechanical system and it doesn't interact with the ECU in any way.
