Not a Happy Chappy............Damaged Door

Featured Replies

Came home from work to find the Wife very upset.

She went shopping and when she returned to her car some B@stard has caved the Passenger side door in. Looks like another car door has hit it but with force.

Wacking great ding and a crease from top to bottom removing the paint. Who ever did it knew they had as there were finger marks on the door ( car quite dirty) and you could see where they had rubbed it hoping it was not too bad.

So it's a Paint job and going to get Bump strips fitted

Nothing park up when she arrived and nothing when she returned, who ever did it parked elsewhere after the event.

Not best pleased............No note, nothing ,Bu99er all.

Sorry m8 some real numpty out there, however nothing really can do other than wrap it in cotton wool, mine got done a couple months ago, I'm not bothering until selling sods law if I repair it, it would only get pranged in the same place !!!

I dread the day i really do, did your wife go into the shop and see if there CCTV had anything like a reg number ? then could possible go through there insurance? i always park 6 miles from where im going, get lots og complaints from the G/F and Friends, but its not them shelling out for the car. dont like it lump it i tell them, but yeah back to the O.P as them to check CCTV :)

Zachary dont worry, it's going to happen but when it does , you'll not know what to do scream or swear, bit both I'd imagine, regardless were you park a new car is like a prat magnet , they'll be around you like wasps round a honey pot !.emoticon-0145-shake.gif

Bartewards Andy!! :(

I bet youre both gutted

Hope its not too much to repair

Oh no! thats really harsh how someone could drive off.... unbelievable. :(

I agree with Zach, I park as far out on the edge of the car park as well, with friends and people complaining. if their driving fair enough but they aint!!! but the most annoying thing is that someone will park next to you in their kiddy wagon, or park uber close to your drivers door.... :wonder:

good luck with the repair buddy :)

Just had a incident in a local DIY store myself but at least the lady had the decency to notify the service desk. Hope you catch the scumbag

He the same on Tuesday evening when I came back to the car after work. Some total plank had left a dent just under the passenger door handle. Luckily I managed to take it to the local paintless dent removal place Wednesday. They turned it around in around 30mins with the panel restored as though nothing had happened. The bonus was the guys there were really interested in the car so we chatted about it and cars in general.
