G60/VR6 max torque and bhp

Recommended Posts

I see that many of you did the G60/VR6 conversion and feedback i really good, in most cases, so my question is this; what is max torque for this setup before clutch starts to slip?

I have peloquin diff installed and grip is far more superior to stock open diff which concern me a little bit..

Would be a problem for this clutch 225hp and 330Nm?

Best regards

I have the same setup and have run mine for the last 50k miles without issue. It still bites hard even now. It won't be a problem with those figures.

Hi, Sorry to butt in.. Didn't want to start a new thread when this is similar

I want to start looking at going high power with the octavia, currently the car has the DMF etc.. which is **** and really lacks feel and the gear change is a bit slow and sloppy, let alone juddery at the moment

If this can only handle 250bhp what is the recommendation for big power units? (300 bhp+)

This isn't going to be a problem for now as I'm only running 205 bhp & 218ft/lb .. but want to hike that up to about 230-240 bhp & torque respectively with FMIC, Exhaust, more boost etc.. (then after I get bored with that want to start running big turbo)

So yeah, what would be my best option anyone? I'm definitely doing the Single mass conversion anyway.. but is there a higher powered clutch compatible with the G60 flywheel? Or is it a new unit required all together. I'd rather spend a few more notes at the moment than have to take it all apart in future anyway.

Thanks guys

I think the main problem is pressure plate not the friction disc because pressure plate is pushing the friction disc onto flywheel and if the pressure is not enough clutch will slip. Of course, the friction disc must be upgraded when going big turbo.

Btw; K03s is max-ed out at 220-225bhp with all upgrades.
