Amundsen+ Sat Nav POI's

Featured Replies

I have had my new Roomster for a few weeks and am very happy with it. It is fitted with an Amundsen+ Sat Nav.

Is there any way I can add my own POI's to it? If so, how? What Format? etc. I have no SD card or CD I can examine as the data is preloaded by the dealer to the hard disk of the unit.

Specifically I would like to be able to add the obligatory speed cameras, French supermarkets (sad, I know but it is a request from SWMBO)and also the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery database....

After doing a similar search, it seems like the OP didn't get the answer he required but as I'd like to know (almost) exactly the same thing, then I thought I'd bump the question. Surely someone has the answer by now?

Ask Skoda people ??

There's no chance of the dealer giving you an answer on this other than "No, can't be done"

Also The Amundsen use Flash memory to store the Map data, there is no HDD

Perhaps you should upgrade to a Columbus, there is a DAB version available now

I don't have either at the moment and was weighing up all the integrated navigation options. Obviously some things (such as speed cameras) are a necessity nowadays and I'd miss the ability to have that on a built in unit. Also, would I be correct in thinking that even though the Columbus can add POI's, there isn't an option to add an associated sound to them?
