Morning all,

I am looking for advice on what size steel wheels to get to my Octy 06 VRS, it currently has the 18" wheels on it, however im wanting some winter tyres for it and they weem to cost a small fortune in 18", and figured it maybe cheaper to get a set of steel wheels and tyres for it. Any advice on size offset etc etc will be greatly appreciated. looking at either 17" or 16" but no idea what will fit

You'll need 16"s to clear the brakes on a vRS. You can have 17" if you can find a suitable wheel but most go for 16" steels as the wheels are cheaper. You may find it hard to track down some cheap VAG steels at this time of year as everyone wants them for winters. Some have bought tatty Audi/otherVAG 16" alloys cheaper than steels.

PCD is 5x112 and you need offset (ET) somewhere around 42-50 or therabouts.

Thanks Rob, i have found some 215 55 16 offset 45 5-112 these would be ok wouldnt they?

Iv got a set of 16's steel wheels on mine from a supurb and which them been vag they fit PCD, ET ect

Plus they only take 205 55 tyres, i bought a set of Goodyear Ultragrip 8 (absolutely fantastic) for £75 per tyre
