Mintex are sweet

are they? are EBC better? like greenstuff? do i need the ones with the cable coming out the brake pad?

I've Mintex and just bought some for my 312s and 256s :) get great reviews and don't cost a bomb. And by cable you mean the wear indicator? The fabia doesn't have this option but the pads will prob come with it so just cut it off :)

is that what the cable is for? makes sense, just cut it off eh? sounds good, am i better getting drilled and grooved or just plain mate?

Down to personal preference really, won't see much diff performance wise either way I'd say but the drilled and grooved will def cool better :) I went for these only in a full set and got them in the silver edition :) stops them rusting and looking carp through the wheel :)

They have a 15% discount voucher on their home page too so get a few quid off :)

I have the exact same setup drilled and grooved mtec with Mintex pads and they are faultless.

All pads for 312mm come with the wear indicator as the octavia vRS came with that whereas the fabia doesn't. Also look at decent brake fluid to go with it all :)
