Boost gauge

Featured Replies

Hi guys i want to get a boost gauge for my new vrs and mount it in the pillar. What do you guys recon the best one is/what would you get. and what do you need also anyone in the west mids that could help me fit it haha

You'll need to make your own pillar pod or buy one of those nasty looking universal ones, there's not a vrs specific pillar pod available to buy unfortunately.

Look there eBay for the gauge as there's loads available

I did mine over a week or so..depends how confident you are with fibreglassing and body filler lol. Look in the Octavia guides as mark (bowders1) has done it and put a guide up in there

Question- what do you actually connect it up to, wires-wise..? I'm guessing the illumination is one but where do you put the wire that transfers boost information? Tempted to get a 1U 3-gauge set... want oil temp, boost pressure in psi and whatever else is recommended.

Not a clue on a diseasel, as there not the same as petrol. It's a bit more complex I think.

On a petrol you'd just connect the vac line to either the FPR or on the inlet manifold if you've done all the removals and bypasses.

Ask on the Fabia 1 forum, I guess some of the lads with VRS's on there might have boost gauges fitted to their diesels

mine is fitted on the dash itself rather than the pillar. can get pics if you want alex?

Its got a vac hose down the side in to the engine bay and it connected around the DV and then its wired in to my head lights so it comes on when they are on :p
