hi all right i have just had my custom exhaust fitted today on my vrs and very impressed with it so far. i did request having a 2.5inch bore fitted but they could only fit a 2.25inch pipe but for the price cant complain. but at some point i would like to fit a sports cat and downpipe but my question is will there be any fitting issues? from what i can understand the sports cat pipe is 2.5inch bore unless its miltek which is 2.76inch i think so how would they connect up as surely the 2.5inch bore will be too big ??

I thought the standard system was 2.25 inches anyway? Might be able to fit the 2.5 sports cat etc with a reducer to the rest of the system but then that bit is going to be restrictive.

Would be a lot simpler just to get a full 2.5 inch system from the turbo back

2.25 is standard size so your gonna be no better off, may aswell have left the standard system an and fitted a sorts to that lol, you'll need a reducer as said above.

Fella, i think you need to get yer money back! Definitely no point paying extra for a completely standard exhaust size wise.

Having asked for a 2.5" i'd expect just that! Not sure how they can say oh no sorry we couldn't, 2.25" do.

well tbh with u all i am pretty happy with the system plus if u had seen my standard exhaust just how bad it was it was holding on barely the backbox had a crack threw it due to the middle section dropping off its mount so the backbox was holding the hole system onto the cat plus the exhaust was completely rotten so had to change. but also i couldnt really afford anything else yet so its kind of a temp fix but at 220pounds for a system i cant complain when skoda wanted almost 400pounds for a standard system. i know sports cats r almost near on 500pounds which is beyond my money atm but i thought i would ask the question so i know in the future when i can afford it that maybe it would of fitted on my exhaust later on. the only reason they gave me with not fitting a 2.5inch is that they dont have the facilites to do that plus the piece of metal that runs along the car that holds the two back wheels in place would cause a problem for them when it came to bending part of the exhaust pipe i thought it was abit odd but i wasnt going to complain tbh its exactly how i wanted it and still have a huge grin on my face.its not soo loud it will annoy me and others in the car but its not soo quiet that u think whats the point.

well if i could of found a miltek for 300pounds plus free delivery then maybe but i have looked around includeing the sales section and nothing has come up but its something that in 2-3years i can look into just want to sort otherthings out first then later on focus on the bigger things
