Hi there,

Just bought an 02 reg Octavia Elegance 1.9 tdi and are really pleased with it.

We have just one gripe (so far!) and it is driving my wife mad - when we lock and unlock the car using the remote you can hear a beeping sound (the lights flash too but we can cope with that!). The car has a Sigma M32 security system.

Can some one please tell us how to turn off the beep?

it'll be the after market alarm doing it. might have to see your local alarm specialist and have them do something to it. other than that have you got a manual to look through? sometimes features like this can be turned off by a series of buttons and or ignition turns etc

The Sigma M32 I think is a Cat 11 to Cat 1 aftermarket non Skoda upgrade IRC I think TaviaRS had one on his Octavia RS might be worth giving him a PM

I tried enabling the beep on my 4X4 Elegance yesterday with a VAG-COM but the option isn't available on my car.
