Would this be Maxi-Dot?

Yes it is.

Thanks :)

So it should just slip into the '57 Elegance then, in theory.

I've read quite a few threads on here that retro-fitting maxidot is complex and does require coding.

If you do a search on the Octavia 2 forum using "retrofitting maxidot" you'll get a flavour for the issues.

Thanks Mike - comprehensive answer as always :) :)

Mine's a 105PD diesel, so I'll give that a miss. Just saw it and thought "bargin!". Mailed the seller a few days ago about milage, still no reply, so another reason to give it a miss.

Will probably go to Shark and have it done properly, but there are other things higher on the list at the moment :giggle: :giggle:

I had a PD170 vRS maxidot display retrofitted into my old PD140 Octavia diesel, worked like a charm.

I bought my maxidot unit from Eddie-NL. reasonable price. Fitted by skoda as its a FL one. Works well and intergrates well with retrofitted OEM bluetooth. PreFL ones has less problems re immobilizer issues as mikeholroyd's post. Go for it makes a big difference in a PreFL car.
