new bulbs or hid kit?

Featured Replies

hey guys whats the best bulbs to put in my fabia???? mine r crap or should i just get a hid kit???? want both dip and main beam brighter

You should just go for a HID kit as they are cheap enough and will still pass an MOT with the revised rules.

Thinking of getting a kit for the Bora but don't know which are best as there are so many out there...

i was thinking a hid kit off ebay, but do i need to get two one for dip and one for main or can u get like a kit that does both?????? i know nothing about lights or electrics, aslo fany changing the lights for the clocks to blue but not sure how to do that

Personally, I'd go on the safe side and just change the bulbs. I am still uncertain about these new MOT rules regarding HIDs, I'm sure it would also depend on how the MOT tester has read the rules too.

If you do go for HIDs, I'd only replace the dipped ones. They take time to warm up and don't like being flashed so no good if you put them in main beam.

If you want more light then I'd go for either Philips Xtreme Vision or Osram NightBreaker Plus. If you want a much whiter light then go for blue coated bulbs, Philips Blue vision etc.

I got these:
