Hi

Just bought a 2004 Octavia elegance estate 1.9tdi, the door wont lock on the key fob, following an earlier thread took the door card off today. The connector has a has a broken pin, is there a cheap fix for this or is it big bucks? Also have a clunking noise from the front, could it be the ball joints?

Welcome to the forum.

Easy enough to bridge the & solder around the broken connection, but if you do use some heatshrink to protect the solder joints.

Knocking from the front could be several things. Anti roll bar bushes, front strut top mounts, & ball joints. The 1st thing I would check is the radiator mounts as they are prone to failure, just shake the rad & if it clunks that's probably the problem.
