Hi I'm going to attempt to fix my boot today. Anyone know the easiest way of getting the plastic trim off inside to emergency release it. Dint want to break anything

if you crawl into the boot you can pry off the small panel (maybe an 40mm by 100mm) above the latch and release it using the orange lever underneath. you don't need to remove the whole panel. at least thats how it works on my mk1 from 2000.

Hi thanks worked wonderfully. I worked it out on my own as thought you had to take the whole back panel off so asked first. Boots now fixed!
