Newbie with a VRS

Featured Replies

Evening all!

I've been lurking for a little while after deciding to part with my tired 328i Sport that I've slowly been killing with various drift related incidents. Fuel economy was slowly bankrupting me and I got fed up with having a straight through exhaust and zero sound deadening.

I didn't intend to buy a VRS, I actually found this one by accident after looking at a dog of a Bora PD150.

Seems like a solid car and probably one that I'll keep hold of for quite a while. Already has a couple of mods like a cat-back exhaust and some fancy induction setup with a cone hidden in the bumper.

All I need to do is get rid of the silly aerial, possibly swap it for a S2000 stubby one if they're still cheap? Fit some dealer or plain plates, get the cambelt and service done for peace of mind then I can play around a bit.

There's also a VRS Nurburgring sticker that I think I'll get rid of, it seems they're for sale on here so the previous owner may well be on here come to think of it.

I've only managed around 70 miles since picking it up yesterday and I'm still not quite used to sitting so high up, it's quite a strange feeling.

Anyways, I'm coming from this thing below to a nice modern(ish) VRS :D

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello BigToze and welcome along

Silver is the best colour( now runs away), specially as these are occasionally used as unmarked plod cars emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Thanks guys!

Paid up for Freedom membership the other day, hopefully not long till I get my nice shiny sticker.

Welcome.

I always thought the Mk1 VRS looked very much like the old E36 BMWs from the front
