Yeti 1.2 TSI DSG acceleration failure after cold start

Featured Replies

A couple of times in the last week after starting my Yeti 1.2 TSI DSG from cold I have experienced accelerator failure.

What I mean by this is I put the car in gear, put my foot on the accelerator and nothing at all happens even with the accelerator floored. Both times I have changed into Park or Neutral flipped the accelerator to get the revs up changed back into gear and managed to pull (slowly) away.

The first time it happened I was parked downhill in a busy car park and there was a car right in front and I had to repeat the process half a dozen times to get the car far enough back to go forward. The second time was not so bad as I was going forward and only had to do this once.

Once the car is going everything seems OK although I have experienced some occasional judder when accelerating at slow speeds.

I have booked the car in to the local dealer on Thursday

Any ideas welcome

Sounds like you are doing the right thing. It's under warranty. Use it. Mine is back in friday as my heated seat doesn't and they now have the parts in.
