Electric Windows

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I posted a question on the ask a tech, but no one has replied, so thought I would try here.

I have a 2007 Fabia VRS Mk1 BLT engine code. I bought the car in August with a faulty n/s window switch. The controls on the offside worked both windows fine. However over the last couple of weeks, the o/s swiches worked intermitantly and now don't work at all. There is power to and from the fuses etc. What I want to know, is (a) is this a common fault, (B) is likely to be just the switches, © is there a control ECU somewhere; if so where, (d) how much would a garage charge roughly for a plug diagnosis.

Thank you in advance

Ross

I had an intermittent drivers window switch. Replaced it and it's worked fine ever since.

None of my windows work ATM. They stopped then started then stopped again. I've replaced fuses with no joy. Disconnected the battery which got the passenger side working from only the passenger switch but has since stopped working again??

Mine was a dirty and loose fuse - I replaced it with a spare which was slightly thicker - fine afterwards.

I recently had the same problem 07 vrs, sprayed wd40 into the door switch, after two days now working fine, seems to be an odd fault.
