It's the 2.0 model that came out before the vRS. I have a full body-kit on it (no fogs), which is from Skoda Auto believe it or not :) I don't have a vRS badge on it, I have a V badge, which stands for sport in Skoda Auto. It's fixed up a bit, plus with the kit, I figured why not badge it up, it is pretty damn quick believe it or not and with the kit on it, it's worthy of the V badge, right? I certainly think so. And this is the only model of it's kind in the U.A.E. so I'm quite chuffed. There are 1.4 models with crazy kits on them, but no power mods, and they're automatics too. This is the only 2.0 with a kit in the U.A.E. :D

I've done a 0-100 time of 8.5 seconds, tested three times, and clocked 220kmph.

No way will I put a vRS badge on it, because it isn't a vRS. But in the U.A.E., this particular model has been categorized as an RS at the dealership. So yeah...its a 2.0RS :D

My girlfriend took the pictures, she's a pro with the camera, double-majoring in photography next year.

I'll try and get some interior pics of the car up, you will see how it's different from the vRS. I'm gonna get green neons for it, and my air filter just came in today which I'm gonna go pick up, it'll give me another 7 ponies

:D Thanks guys for the compliments. Thanks so much :D

Hmm. Not the best views for a hedgehog though :)

Is that so? It seems a lot. If it is true, I might do the same with my Elegance 2.0 (I get my new one tomorrow). Any drawbacks to this mod?

Well put  :- slight correction the V is the motorsport emblem for "Victory" and as you say has been used in Skoda Motorsport for years.

The "vRS" thing is a UK thing as you are probably awarware because Ford have a copyright on the RS logo and got touchy with Skoda UK on introduction of the Octavia RS. Other than in the UK the production RS models are marketed as "Octavia RS and Fabia RS"

Is the exaust original?

In 2002 Germany and exported to some other countries before the Fabia 'RS' the Fabia GT model (Ford missed that one :D ) was lauched, it did have the body kit like yours but not the 2.0 engine though.

Now I know why the pictures are so good!!!

Even for Sharjah that's a very low registration number...

No drawbacks. This filter is designed by K&N specifically for the 2.0. All you do is remove the old one, and put the new one inside the same housing. The housing should not be altered or removed at all costs (as said by my service manager)...like I said...that's why K&N came up with this filter. I was told by my service manager and the guy supplying the air filter that I can get between 5 to 7 horsepower more with it.

Is the exaust original?

Yes, it's original from Skoda. The whole kit is original. I got it with the car when I bought it new and my insurance premium went up  Got it fitted at the dealers. Most of the parts on my car are original Skoda parts, and most of the mods I've made, like getting the airvent frames painted, were done at the dealer's. I even got the rear-view mirror painted matt-black by them (all skoda cars rear-view mirrors come with the normal whitish plastic colour)...that is, the rear part of the mirror...when sitting in the car, the frame is the natural colour so it matches the interior...from outside, it's black. Really good job on that. Our dealer is really good here, and I prefer getting everything done by them.

That's what I think too L-Y-K...we have a 1.4 'Sport' model here called the Fabia Sportif.

Is that so? It seems a lot. If it is true, I might do the same with my Elegance 2.0 (I get my new one tomorrow). Any drawbacks to this mod?

5 to 7bhp does seem a tad optimistic, imho, but what do I know! ;) Only drawback with the K&N filter (and most aftermarket panel filters) are that they are designed to be cleaned rather than replaced so you have to make sure that when you clean them you don't make them too oily or it will damage the MAF. Green Panel filters are meant to be the least oily, although I ran both a K&N and a Green on my Scooby without problems, and I've had no problems in the 20k my Green has been on the Fabia! :D

I'm serious dude, I'm not the one who gave myself the specs. That's what my service manager told me, and this guy can fix any vehicle you give him, including primitive lamborghinis which were hell when it came to the garage! :D

I'm getting it today at 4 o clock. I'll take her for a good run after that and let you guys know the results of my purchase :D

Hey! Do you live in the region???

No - but I was in Abu Dhabi for a while...
