What oil do you use?

For the first change, i will use Mobil 3000 X1 5W40, because i had bought a year ago for my Octavia 1.8T , which i sold it then.

In the future, i thinking to use Fuchs or Liqui Moly, both made in Germany.

I use whatever the dealer put in and I top up with 5w/30 extra life from Rock Oil, says on the can approved for VW 504 00/507 00 and only £35 for 5 litres.

Skoda recommend Castrol, although individual dealers can use what they want. Castrol do a VW-specific oil, Castrol EDGE Professional LongLife III 5W-30, which is available only through VAG dealerships. In the shops you can get Castrol EDGE 5W-30 (this covers a number of OEM specs, including VW 504 00/507 00).
